    Business Process Catalog

Just for a bit of fun, and because I’m not a huge fan of navigating massive Excel files, I asked ChatGPT to rework the Microsoft Business Process Catalog into a collapsible tree, making it much easier to browse through the process information.

The whole thing took about thirty minutes, of which I spent roughly twenty tweaking icons and colors… 😅

A quick note: this is based on the December 2025 version of the catalog, and it doesn’t automatically update when new versions are released. And of course, since it’s ChatGPT, I can’t guarantee it didn’t creatively reinterpret a few things along the way (as it did with the feature image).

  • A new chapter: Freelance

    A new chapter: Freelance

After more than a decade working with Microsoft business applications across a wide range of industries, I’m excited to share an important milestone in my professional journey: I’m officially starting my own freelance consultancy, GJ Solutions.

This move isn’t a sudden leap — it’s the result of years of hands‑on experience, evolving responsibilities, and a growing desire to work even closer to clients and their real challenges.

A Career Built Across the Microsoft Ecosystem

My career began at Avanade, where I spent eight formative years as a technical consultant and discovered how deeply technology can transform the way businesses operate. During that time, I worked on Dynamics AX and later D365 Finance & Operations implementations across a wide range of industries, including finance, distribution, manufacturing, retail, and project‑driven organizations.

Those years shaped my technical foundation, but they also taught me something equally important — how to collaborate with clients, translate needs into solutions, and stay calm when things get complicated.

After Avanade, I joined DUCO as a business analyst, expanding my functional expertise into Business Central, Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Customer Insights, and Power Platform. I learned to look beyond the system and into the business itself: processes, bottlenecks, user experience, and change management.

I returned to the consulting world at Cegeka as a Technical Consultant for D365 F&O and Power Platform, aiming to immerse myself again in a fast-paced environment with varied projects and close client collaboration. While the role offered valuable experience, I gradually realized that the way I want to work — dynamic, hands-on, and closely connected to clients — is best achieved by taking the independent route.

That insight brought everything together and made the next step feel natural: starting my own freelance journey.

    Why Freelancing?

Over the years, I’ve learned what motivates me most — and freelancing allows me to focus on exactly those things.

    Being Closer to the Client

I want to work directly with the people who feel the impact of the solution, hearing their feedback firsthand and adjusting quickly to what they truly need. Freelancing removes layers and gives me the space to collaborate more openly, honestly, and efficiently.

    Improving Worklife for Real People

Whether it’s a smoother purchasing flow, a clearer Power BI dashboard, or a well‑designed app, I love creating solutions that make someone’s day easier. Freelancing gives me the freedom to prioritize user experience and practical value.

    Helping Businesses Improve Their Processes

From BPMN to solution design to Power Platform automation, I’ve always enjoyed helping organizations work smarter. As a freelancer, I can dive deeper into process optimization without being limited by internal structures.

    Thriving in a Fast‑Moving, Ever‑Changing Environment

My career has always been shaped by change — new tools, new modules, new ways of working. Freelancing embraces that rhythm. Every project is different, and that’s exactly what keeps me sharp and motivated.

    Introducing GJ Solutions

With GJ Solutions, I’m focusing on what I do best:

    • D365 F&O and CE solutioning
    • Power Platform development
    • Business analysis and process optimization
    • Architecture and application lifecycle guidance
    • Helping teams adopt better ways of working

My goal is simple: to help organizations get more out of their Microsoft business applications — with clarity, structure, and a no‑nonsense approach.

    Looking Ahead

This new chapter is exciting, challenging, and exactly the direction I want to grow in. I’m grateful for the experiences that brought me here, and I’m looking forward to building strong, long‑term partnerships with clients who value collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.

If you’re looking for support with Microsoft Dynamics, Power Platform, or process optimization, I’d be happy to connect.

  • Hello world!

    Hello world!

I might be biased by my developer background, but I think there is no better way to start something new than a “Hello World”. So, I found it fitting to keep this WordPress sample page around and repurpose it to welcome you to my blog.

In my day-to-day job as a Dynamics 365 / Power Platform consultant, I’m confronted with challenges and questions daily. Lots of the answers to these questions originate from the community (in essence, other blogs), but still some are missing.

In this blog, I’ll document the questions I encounter, the process of trying to find the answer, and the solutions I came up with in the end. On the one hand, it’ll serve as my own knowledge base, but on the other hand, it might serve others as well, so why not make it public?

Besides the stuff I encounter at work, I’m also interested in learning about other things, such as WordPress, so there might be some occasional posts about this as well.

I’m looking forward to this, and I hope you get something out of it as well. If you have any suggestions, feel free to forward them to me!
